A sweet gourmet coffee from East Africa
The Hambela Wamena Buku Saysa Washing Station is one of three processing stations operated by the producer Tega & Tula in the Guji region. They work with around 3,500 smallholder farmers to promote sustainable agricultural practices and produce exceptional coffee. The name “Hambela Wamena” comes from the Oromo language and means “Land of the Survivors.” The washing station is located at an altitude of 2,300 meters and spans approximately 1.2 hectares. This coffee comes from a carefully handpicked and processed microlot. It grows in fertile clay soil, which provides ideal conditions for healthy plant development.
