Its exceptional taste profile (with an impressive SCA score of 89!) makes it one of the most sought-after coffees in the world. As soon as the brew is ready, an enticing scent of cherry, peach, jasmine, grapefruit and caramel fills the air. Its multi-layered taste is particularly refreshing to the palate. As the name suggests, the Sudan Rum variety originally stems from Sudan, and it is grown in the mountains south of Bogotá. The ripe coffee cherries are harvested and processed wet. At Caroma, we buy the green coffee directly from the hacienda, to ensure that the farm owners pay their employees fair wages. Another slice of the proceeds is used to finance ecological and social projects, such as the construction of schools.
